Quasi-Efficient Revocation of Group Signatures
نویسندگان
چکیده
Several interesting group signature schemes have been proposed todate. However, in order for the entire group signature concept to become practical and credible, the problem of secure and efficient group member revocation must be addressed. In this paper, we construct a new revocation method for group signatures based on the signature scheme by Ateniese et al. [ACJT]. This new method represents an advance in the state-of-the-art since the only revocation schemes proposed thus far are either: 1) based on implicit revocation and the use of fixed time periods, or 2) require the signature size to be linear in the number of revoked members. Our method, in contrast, does not rely on time periods, offers constant-length signatures and constant work for the signer.

Quasi-Efficient Revocation in Group Signatures
A group signature scheme allows any group member to sign on behalf of the group in an anonymous and unlinkable fashion. In the event of a dispute, a designated trusted entity can reveal the identity of the signer. Group signatures are claimed to have many useful applications such as voting and electronic cash. A number of group signature schemes have been proposed to-date. However, in order for...
متن کاملGroup Signatures with Verifier-Local Revocation and Backward Unlinkability in the Standard Model
Group signatures allow users to anonymously sign messages in the name of a group. Membership revocation has always been a critical issue in such systems. In 2004, Boneh and Shacham formalized the concept of group signatures with verifier-local revocation where revocation messages are only sent to signature verifiers (as opposed to both signers and verifiers). This paper presents an efficient ve...
متن کاملEfficient Member Revocation in Group Signature Schemes
Group signature schemes allow a group member to sign messages anonymously on behalf of the group. During last decade, group signature schemes have been intensively investigated in the literature and applied to various applications. Especially, as noted in [3], the complexity of member deletion stands in the way of real world applications of group signatures. In this paper, we propose a group si...
متن کاملBackward Unlinkability for a VLR Group Signature Scheme with Efficient Revocation Check
Verifier-Local Revocation (VLR) group signatures, introduced by Boneh and Shacham in 2004 are a particular case of dynamic group signature schemes where the revocation process does not influence the activity of the signers. The verifiers use a Revocation List to check if the signers are revoked. In all known schemes, checking a signature requires a computational time linear in the number of rev...
متن کاملEfficient Revocation in Group Signatures
We consider the problem of revocation of identity in group signatures. Group signatures are a very useful primitive in cryptography, allowing a member of a group to sign messages anonymously on behalf of the group. Such signatures must be anonymous and unlinkable, but a group authority must be able to open them in case of dispute. Many constructions have been proposed, some of them are quite ef...
